Make Soggy Music

Our show for Make Music NY was a huge success. Until the rain came, that is. Thanks to everyone who came out, and who stopped on the street to listen.

Before we got shut down by a flash storm, we got to play a couple of songs, including We Are Warm, Up Through Your Arms, First Things First and Kids And Kids. It was the perfect setting for a rock show on the first day of summer.

I am the Heat brought the rock as well.
As James said, “if you cant go down in flames, thick intense rain will do.”

If you’ve got pictures, let us know - we’d love to see them. Let us know in the comments

Yuko posted some pics on Flickr already.

Make Music NY

Friday, May 18th, 2007

We’re taking part in the first annual Make Music NY. For one day a year – the first day of summer – public spaces in all five boroughs will become informal musical stages for all New Yorkers, amateurs and professionals, to perform for friends, neighbors, and passers-by, turning the city into a festival of live music making.

More than 300 cities around the world, from Paris to Panama to Phnom Penh, celebrate their own “Make Music” events each June 21st. Join us for the first year in New York!

We’ll be playing with I am the Heat at Astor Place and Lafayette - on the island with the cube.

Come out to enjoy the first day of summer with free outdoor music
